Creating an Asset by Copying from a Template

To create an asset from a template, (The template for that type of Tray needs to exist or have already been setup), proceed to the “Copy Implement Advanced” screen as shown in the screenshot below.

From the screen shown below, the implement can then be copied, the source details are the template, which is to be copied, and the destination details are the new asset required.

Enter the details of where the template is located – the templates available will then appear at the bottom of the screen.

Then enter the details of where you would like the implement to be copied to.

Please tick the template that you would like to copy and then enter the new serial number, setup date, CMU (Hours on the Implement), Budget Hours and Purchased Cost if available. You can copy more than 1 Implement at a time.

There is a separate section at the bottom allowing a user to select specific component and observation points and then choose whether to include or not in the new Implement.

Each component can be expanded by clicking on the plus icon which will then show the observation points that exist for that component.

Any component or observation point can be excluded from the copy function by unticking the component or observation point that is not required.
