Measurement of Track Pitch, Track Pad – Roller Path Thickness through Pin Strap, Roller Path Thickness through full pad, Roller Path Thickness through Centre, Track pad Drive Lug
Track Pitch
Use the Ruler/Tape Measure – measure 4 complete Track Pads. Ensure where the start
point is the same as the end point.
1 & 2 Track Pad – Roller Path Thickness Pin Strap
Ultrasonic –NB. Measure through the middle of
the Pin Strap on the Track Pad Roller Path. Measure
both points and use the worst reading. Ensure that the
reading is through the center to the outside of the Track
Pad. If having difficulty obtaining a reading, turn up the
gain on the Ultrasonic Tool to give the signal more
energy.
3 & 4 Track Pad – Roller Path Thickness
Ultrasonic –NB. Measure through the entire Track Pad on
the Roller Path. Measure both points and use the worst
reading. Ensure that the reading is through the center to
the outside of the Track Pad. If having difficulty obtaining
a reading, turn up the gain on the Ultrasonic Tool to give
the signal more energy
5 & 6 Track Pad – Roller Path Thickness –
Ultrasonic –NB. Measure through the middle of the Track
Pad on the Roller Path. Measure both points and use the
worst reading. Ensure that the reading is through the
center to the outside of the Track Pad. If having difficulty
obtaining a reading, turn up the gain on the Ultrasonic
Tool to give the signal more energy.
Track Pad – Drive Lug
Ultrasonic –NB. Measure through the middle of the top of the Drive Lug
Ensure that the reading is through the center. If having
difficulty obtaining a reading, turn up the gain on the
Ultrasonic Tool to give the signal more energy.
Pin Diameter
Ruler – measure the diameter of the pin to determine the amount of reduction in diameter due to wear
